OUR STORY, by CEO Jada John
It all began one wintery day at Mom's table....
Sundays at "Mother's" house was EVERYTHING. All of our family from everywhere would come over after church and have BIG family dinners together. If Dr. Cynthia M. John was anything, she was indeed a chef. It is because of her tutelage that our family is full of cooks and bakers. She baked from scratch, she cooked from scratch, and we all loved it!

Well in August 2018, Dr. John physically left this earth. She left us with many great memories, and she also left us with a legacy of good cooking and good food! In deciding to create space for her legacy to live on, we needed a name that really spoke to who mom was. She ALWAYS had a saying from the "elders" for every situation.

One day, sometime in 2007, while sitting at her table and savoring her cooking, I was using my finger to remove food from my cheeks. She chuckled and said to me, "Stop dig out your corner cubbage!" We laughed heartily for a few minutes. The idea that I was storing food in my cheeks or "corner cubbage" (cupboard) as she coined it, was hilarious!
